Police catch ‘charmer’ who robbed women

A 36-year-old thieve who charmed 17 women and then robbed them of valuable things was arrested by the police, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to spokesman for the General Police Commissariat Adrian Jovmir, the man got acquainted with his victims on social networking sites. The women who got into his trap invited themselves him to their homes.
Among the victims is a young man who rented a room in the house of one of the cheated women. Besides money and things, the suspect also stole a pistol from the young man’s room. The police found it during the man’s arrest.
It was established that the man had been earlier convicted of similar offenses. He was put on the wanted list for housebreaking.
In order not to be recognized by the victims, the man always changed his appearance. He grew a beard or wore glasses.
He faces a fine of 6,000 to 20,000 lei, community service or up to four years’ imprisonment.
