Police arrests five members of “Malhaz” criminal group
Five active member of the criminal group led by “Malhaz” were arrested by the Department for Combating Organised Crime (DCOC) of the Ministry of Interiors.
They are suspected of committing a series of crimes, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Interiors, the group was specialised in committing armed robberies, plunders and burglaries. On February 9, the officers of DCOC together with Rascani Police Office arrested Ion Badiu aged 32 and Andrei Talmazan alias “Johny” aged 35.
The DCOC officers found out 3 more members of the criminal group – Lilian Nemteanu alias “Nemetz” aged 30, Liviu Cheibas alias “Shrek” aged 24 and Vitalie Cosernitan aged 31, all with criminal records for similar offences.
The police officers searched the houses of the criminals and found munitions, guns, cars and other equipment used for committing the crimes. At the same time, stolen goods were found out as well.
Badiu, Nemtanu, Talmazan, Cheibas and Cosernitan are suspected in several crimes, including for stealing MDL 255 thousand from an apartment located on Gheorghe Ureche Street from Chisinau, as well as for stealing 4 tonnes of walnut kernel from a depot located on Sorocii Street from Chisinau. Also, police investigates other cases in which the five criminals could be involved. At the moment tens have complained about the crimes committed by the criminal group.
