Two men were arrested on suspicion that they murdered a man aged 64 in Ciocana district of Chisinau. According to the police, the suspects could not explain why they committed the murder, saying they were under the influence of alcohol, IPN reports.
The police established that the men, aged 24 and 37, hit the owner of the garage situated in Ciocana in the head. They tied him and then set fire to the garage to hide the traces of the crime. Afterward they drove away with the victim’s car.
The men, who are from Rezina district, are investigated for murder committed with special cruelty for pecuniary interests and face 15 to 20 years behind bars or life.
In the morning of November 1, the police were informed about a fire in a garage located on Uzinelor St in Ciocana district. The carbonized body of a man was found inside the garage. The medical examiner identified injuries leading to death on the body.
