The police have arrested three men suspected of murdering a woman in Ciocana sector of the capital late last year. They are aged between 33 and 35, come from Ialoveni district and have previously been sentenced for serious crimes.
Head of the General Police Inspectorate Ion Bodrug said during a press conference that the murder of the 35 year old woman was premeditated. The main suspect is 35 and got out of jail in 2013.
The man confessed that in the evening of December 16, he awaited his victim in the block hall in order to rob her. Because she resisted, the man hit her with a knife and she died instantly. After the murder, the man and two accomplices who waited for him in car fled the scene.
As a result of searches operated on Saturday, January 11, at the suspects' homes, the police found evidence proving their complicity to the murder. If they are found guilty, they risk spending 15 to 20 years in prison or getting a life sentence.
The murdered woman's body was found with multiple stab wounds by neighbors. She and her husband ran a family business and had a 5 year old daughter.
