Police arrest mother of newborn thrown in garbage

The mother of the new-born girl who was found dead in a garbage bin 3 days ago has been arrested, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Chisinau Police, the woman claims the girl was still-born. However, she also said that she didn't want the baby because she already had two other children.
The woman, 35, is from Balti, but is living in Chisinau. She delivered the baby at home on December 25. The woman claimed the girl was still-born and decided to throw away the body to avoid problems, considering among other that she thought she got pregnant with another man than her husband.
As investigations are under way, the woman has been released on bail.
