Two brothers aged 18 and 20 studying at the Ungheni Agroindustrial College were arrested by the police on suspicion of forging money. The two admitted that they managed to put a number of bills of 20 and 50 lei into circulation, IPN reports.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, at the suspects’ home the police found a color printer and A4 sheets with color prints of ten-leu bills. The two young men confessed that they forged and put forged bills into circulation. They also admitted to committing three thefts in Ungheni town.
The two face 5 to 10 years in jail for forging and putting forged money into circulation.
