Fifteen persons were arrested on suspicion that they formed part of a group specialized in drug distribution. The suspects, aged between 20 and 35, are from Chisinau, Causeni and Cahul, IPN reports.

According to the police, the traffickers put into circulation different types of drugs, from ecstasy and amphetamine to cocaine. Some of these were caught in the act of trying to sell narcotics.

Upon searches at suspects’ homes, the police found and seized different types of drugs, electronic scales, marked banknotes and driver’s licenses and identification papers with signs of being forged.

The suspects face seven to fifteen years in jail for trafficking in drugs.
