Poland pleads for an equal partnership and supports the European aspirations of the Republic of Moldova, Deputy Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland Ryszard Terlecki stated in connection with the seventh session of the Moldova - Poland Parliamentary Assembly that is held in Warsaw.
The electoral success of the pro-Western party of the Republic of Moldova, which won the presidential elections and then the parliamentary elections, is a signal that Poland can bank on the pro-Western aspirations of Chisinau, said Ryszard Terlecki, who is the co-chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly on behalf of Poland.
Mihail Popșoi, co-chairman on behalf of Moldova, assured him that the Republic of Moldova has s stable, pro-European parliamentary majority that wants to fully profit from the relations with the European Union. “We enjoy full openness and generous economic and political support and want to makes use of these benefits offered by our friends from the Republic of Poland in the interests of the citizens of the Republic of Moldova,” said the Deputy Speaker of Parliament, being quoted in a press release.
He noted that the Moldovan authorities are grateful for the assistance offered by Poland to Moldova despite difficult circumstances in the region and at global level, noting that Moldova appreciates the friendly relations and further banks on the support of the Polish partners in achieving its European aspirations
The next meeting of the Moldova - Poland Parliamentary Assembly will take place in Chisinau.
