Poachers give headaches to police
Poachers have stepped up their illegal activities. Since the start of this year, the police have drawn up about 2,600 reports over illegal hunting and unauthorized cutting of fir trees, especially during the past two weeks, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Interior Ministry, the number of reports drawn up this year is larger than the previous years.
Recently, the police detained three Orhei residents that were hunting in the fields of Jora de Jos village during forbidden hours. A man transporting 10 kg of deer meat was caught near Orhei town. One person from Cimislia and another one from Ungheni were caught poaching hares.
During raids carried out this year, the police seized 360 hunters’ guns and over 600 fishing nets.
