PNL warns CEC about possible vote rigging
The National Liberal Party (PNL) informed the Central Election Commission (CEC) about the possibility of the November 28 early legislative elections being rigged, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the party, the amendments made to the electoral legislation allow the students to vote in the settlement where they study, not necessarily where they have the domicile. Thus, the students can vote using the student’s card and Form No. 9 showing the identity of the holder, which is used instead of the identity card. There are two types of such a form – with protection element and without protection element. The first costs 36 lei, while the second is issued free of charge. Form No. 9 without protection element can be multiplied in order to artificially increase the voting possibilities of organized groups of students who are paid by parties that control the customs and do not stop the contraband cigarettes, the PNL says in a communiqué.
The party said that using several such forms, the students can vote at a number of polling places, on the basis of additional lists.
