“The National Liberal Party wants to remove the fear of Romania from people’s souls as Romania is a European country with European citizens. It is the country of the Bessarabians. Moldova is Romania and Romania is Moldova,” the party’s chairwoman Vitalia Pavlichenko said in a ceremony held to open the election campaign of the PNL, Info-Prim Neo reports. “The PNL considers the two Romanian countries must unite and this will be a natural act of historical justice and the only way out of poverty and despair. People’s heroes were right when they said that we will survive only if we return to Romanianism and reunite the Romanian people. The union with Romania by the sovereign vote of the people or through Parliament is the shortest way to Europe,” said Vitalia Pavlichenko. She also said she regrets that the Democrats did not form a bloc of the national unity or an alliance of the Romanian unity so as to prevent the Communists from returning to power. “We will get rid of poverty only if we reunite the Romanian people. Unemployment can be reduced and other problems solved only if we attract significant foreign investment, mainly from the EU and NATO,” the PNL leader stated. The PNL in the election campaign is supported by the similar party of Romania. The deputy chairman of the Romanian National Liberal Party Bogdan Boza said they will not offer financial assistance, but support through spirit and values. The National Liberal Party’s slogan will be launched in Europe Square in central Chisinau on October 23. The event will be attended by a group of members of Romania’s PNL headed by Crin Antonescu.
