Prime Minister Vasile Tarlev today announced his resignation at a Government sitting attended by President Vladimir Voronin, Info-Prim Neo’s reporter covering the event informs. The Prime Minister explained his decision by saying he wanted to offer new people the opportunity to achieve new goals prescribed by changing times. In his speech, President Voronin observed that the Government has successfully met the targets set during seven years. The current circumstances, however, impose new requirements and there is a need for changes, including of people. When the news flash was released, the Government sitting was continuing, with other resignations expected.
