Prime Minister Dorin Recean has openly declared his support to the Action and Solidarity Party, which offered him the political endorsement in investing his Cabinet. This was stated by Daniel Vodă, spokesperson for Recean, in reaction to critical findings by the Promo-LEX election observation mission.

“All the activities involving the prime minister occur outside his official agenda and with the use of his own resources, not of the state”, said Daniel Vodă.

In its latest election monitoring report, covering November 8-16, the Promo-LEX mission counted at least 19 instances of “misuse of administrative resources” by public officials, including the president and the prime minister.

In at least 9 of those cases, Prime Minister Dorin Recean participated in campaign rallies to support PAS candidates competing in mayoral runoff elections on November 19. In particular, PM Recean promoted the PAS candidates in Ungheni, Cantemir, Nisporeni, Șoldănești and Florești. Also, Dorin Recean appears in his capacity as prime minister in five campaign videos to promote PAS mayoral hopefuls.
