Today’s realities demonstrate how important the Republic of Moldova is for the European Union. The Kingdom of the Netherlands will remain a reliable partner of Moldova in achieving the European agenda, in the efforts to modernize the country and attract investments, said the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Hanke Bruins Slot, who met with Prime Minister Dorin Recean. The officials discussed the Moldovan-Dutch cooperation in the economic field, mentioning the business forum that will take place during the Days of Moldova in the Netherlands on June 28-30 this year, IPN reports.
Premier Recean mentioned the support provided to Moldova by the Netherlands, which contributes to the consolidation of various key sectors, emphasizing also the support provided by the Dutch side to Ukraine, thanks to which there is peace in Moldova and also on the entire European continent. Thus, the authorities in Chisinau can focus on the development of the country. “Europe means peace, security and wellbeing. It is the model by which we modernize our country and the basic objective towards which we are moving at an accelerated pace. At the same time, we focus on economic recovery and attracting foreign investments into the national economy in order to create new jobs and increase the quality of life of our people,” said the official.
The Prime Minister spoke about the efforts made by the government to create a safe and predictable business environment for investors and referred to the opportunities offered by Moldova in areas with prospects, such as the energy and financial sectors, pharmaceuticals, information technologies and electronics.
