PM Filip tells ministers to reduce trips abroad

Prime Minister Pavel Filip opened today's meeting of the Cabinet by telling ministers to reduce the number of official visits made abroad.

He said he already refused to approve the trips of some ministers, considering it “unacceptable” for a head of ministry or governmental agency to travel abroad as frequently as three times a month.

“Let me remind some colleagues that we have a lot of work to do here in our country”, said Filip, referring to insufficient progress with the Eurointegration agenda, among other issues.
