“The EU’s expertise and support are the key ingredients for ensuring the transformation of the Republic of Moldova and the rapprochement with the EU,” Prime Minister Pavel Filip stated in a meeting with Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn in Brussels. In this connection, the Premier pleaded for the consolidation of the political dialogue, intensification of cooperation at expert level and resumption of the financial assistance, IPN reports, with reference to the Government’s press service.
According to Pavel Filip, the modernization of the country and implementation of the association agenda are key priorities for Moldova. He voiced hope that the next Government will continue the given process.
In the meeting, the two officials discussed the post-electoral situation in Moldova and the current state of the Moldova – EU relations, inclining the political dialogue and cooperation for development. They also conferred on the reforms done by the Moldovan authorities and the implementation level of the Moldova – EU Association Agreement.
