Pluvial drainage channels in Chisinau will be cleaned
The Chisinau administration is launching a project to clean the pluvial drainage channels in order to avoid the inundation of such areas as the square of the Railway Terminal, the streets Haltei and Tabacaria Veche after torrential rain.
The project will be implemented during a year and will be financed by the European Union. There will be also built a pluvial water storage facility near the Railway Terminal, Info-Prim Neo reports.
In a meeting at the City Hall, Gabriela Ciumac, the head of the Foreign Relations, Regional Cooperation and European Integration Division, said the cleaning works will start in February, while the construction work in June. A tender contest will be held on January 31 to select the companies that will perform these works.
The project's budget is €731,000.
