The three pro-European parties must draw the necessary conclusions following the November 30 elections and must form a pro-European coalition government as quickly as possible, said the members of the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) who, before the election campaign, asked that the party should be withdrawn from the electoral race, IPN reports.
In a press statement issued by the members of the PLR it is said that the new pro-European coalition government is obliged not only to ensure the implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU, but to also guarantee the acceleration of reforms structured around all the sections of society.
The statement says the results of the parliamentary elections show there are no doctrinaire borders of principle between the most important political parties. On the contrary, there are two options for developing Moldova, shared by the voters – one in favor of the European integration and another one in favor of the integration into the Russian area.
The members of the PLR consider the small political parties and the independent candidates should realize the mistake they make and should stop misleading the people by populist speeches that only disperse the pro-European votes. According to them, Moldova can modernize only if it becomes politically and economically integrated into the EU. To ensure a European future for all the Moldovan people, the pro-European parties and civil society should join efforts so as to successfully implement the geostrategic project called “Moldova’s European Integration”.
The statement was signed by Ana Gutu, Anatol Arhire, Dorin Dusciac, Gheorghe Salaru, Sergiu Stanciu, Sergiu Ghetiu, Tudor Ulianovschi, and Maxim Gutu.
