PLR files notification to Prosecutor General’s Office over BEM

The parliamentary group of the Liberal Reformist Party (PLR) requested the Prosecutor General’s Office to investigate the sale of the state-owned shareholding in SA “Banca de Economii” (BEM) (“Saving Bank”). The faction demands holding accountable the persons to blame for the concession of the holding and defending in court the rights and interests of the state, by nullifying the documents issued by the public authorities and returning the conceded holding, IPN reports.

In a communiqué, the PLR says the shareholding was conceded by concrete steps by the state institutions and their representatives, with the involvement of a group of persons and beneficiaries who pursued the goal of appropriating the shareholding.

The faction also says that the holding in the BEM was conceded without making a feasibility study, which is against the law.

The Liberal-Reformists also intend to challenge further the concession of the Chisinau International Airport so that it is returned to the state, as it was stolen with the involvement of state decision makers, and those to blame are held accountable.
