The Liberal Reformism Party (PLR) disapproves of the alliance of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) and the Democratic Party (PDM) with the Party of Communists (PCRM). It says that even during the election campaign it warned about the danger of such a coalition not only because Moldova’s European future is compromised, but also because such an uncertain coalition format undermines the democratic system of government and reduces to a minimum the possibility and importance of reciprocal control of the ruling parties with different political platforms, IPN reports,
In a communique, the PLR says a minority government is vulnerable to the whims of the PCRM, while the government program will depend on conjuncture and is doomed from the start.
“Given that the expectations and trust of the voters were betrayed and the European values were compromised, the PLR calls on the extraparliamentary political forces with pro-European views to unite and form a real political alternative to the current government,” reads the communique.
