PLDM's popular approval rating higher than PCRM's
The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) outstripped the Communists Party (PCRM) in the popular approval ratings, according to the sociopolitical barometer made public by the Marketing and Polling Institute IMAS Chisinau on August 23, Info-Prim Neo reports.
With a rating of 42%, the Liberal Democrats are 7% ahead of the Democratic Party (PD) and the PCRM, which have by 35% each. The PCRM's rating remained the same as in April. The Liberal Party (PL) comes next with 30%. It is followed by the Moldova Noastra Alliance with 16%. The Social Democratic Party and the Humanist Party close the list with 5% and 3% respectively.
According to the poll, the Church remains the most trusted institution in Moldova. It is followed by the National Army, the mayors' offices, the mass media and the Government. IMAS Chisinau manager general Doru Petruti said the confidence in the Parliament, Government and the Presidential Office has increased since April.
The poll covered a sample of 2,012 persons from 1,096 Moldovan settlements. The margin of sampling error is +- 2.2%.
