PLDM will negotiate formation of new government

The National Political Council of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) decided that the party will take part in the negotiations and formation of a parliamentary majority so that a new Government could be voted in. The party will yet insist on the desiderata announced earlier, IPN reports.

After the National Political Council’s meeting that lasted for over three hours, the party’s acting leader Valeriu Strelet said that all their colleagues from the local organization and a part of the Liberal-Democratic MPs pronounced on the issue and the Council adopted an almost unanimous decision.

The PLDM’s administrative body decided to delegate representatives to discuss the formation of a new Government so as to keep the European integration course, to insist on the adoption of a roadmap for freeing the captive state institutions and on the appointment of an apolitical person as Prime Minister and to ensure the public character of the political discussions and consultations. The Council also agreed particular elements related to the party’s internal activity, which weren’t yet made public.

Tomorrow, December 1, the PLDM will issue invitations to discussions to the parties that expressed their readiness to take part in the formation of the Government.
