The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) will not accept the invitation to a dialogue made by the ruling alliance to all the parliamentary pro-European forces. The party says the announced goal of the dialogue – to identify the best possibilities of constructive and consistent cooperation for supporting Moldova’s European course – is vague, general and cynical, IPN reports, quoting a press release of the party.
The Lib-Dems note that the current government uses all the illegal intimidation, persecution and blackmail methods against representatives of the PLDM and then invites them to a dialogue.
The PLDM says the government’s actions clearly show that the alleged ‘fight against corruption’ is nothing but a myth and the pursued goal is to perpetuate the current antidemocratic and fraudulent system. The state institutions, including the rule of law bodies, are controlled by one command center and these act in accordance with the received orders.
According to the party, the PLDM is an opposition parliamentary party and any dialogue with the government will take place from this position. The Lib-Dems pledge to support all the initiatives and projects that are for the benefit of the country and the people, while those that have nothing to do with Moldova’s European course will be rejected.
