An initiative for signing the National Pact for a European Moldova will be put forward the coming days, the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vlad Filat said in an interview for “Ziarul National” (“National Paper”). According to the politician, the initiative is based on Moldova’s strategic objective of joining the EU and the fact that the Vilnius Summit represents a historical chance for Moldova, IPN reports.
Vlad Filat said the initiative is proposed in a crucial moment for Moldova, while the strengthening of the political forces and civil society is imperative. The goal is to promote the European course as a national idea, to mobilize the whole society around the European project and to build the European state Moldova.
The leader of the PLDM added that the signing of the National Pact for a European Moldova will stimulate development on the European road.
