PLDM says somebody illegally distributes leaflets that urge voting for Victor Bodiu
The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) announced that unidentified persons distribute leaflets that urge the voters to choose Victor Bodiu for the post of mayor general of Chisinau, in the name of the party.
The PLDM calls on the voters not to yield to manipulation and to try to obtain information about the election campaign from direct, objective and credible sources, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting a communiqué from the party.
The party requests the relevant state authorities to combat such illegal acts that denigrate the PLDM, to identify the wrongdoers and hold them accountable in accordance with the law.
The communiqué also says that after the My 6 decision was taken, the PLDM withdrew all its materials designed to promote its candidate for the post of mayor of Chisinau. The party stresses that the fake brochures spread now do not belong to it. ‘The distribution of these leaflets in the name of the PLDM is a new electoral diversion aimed at making the voters confused,” say the Liberal-Democrats.
On May 6, the PLDM decided to withdraw Victor Bodiu from the race for the mayoralty of Chisinau and to throw support to Dorin Chirtoaca.
