An observer representing the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) at the polling station in Iargara village, Leova district, was seriously injured by a Communist Party (PCRM) member, the PLDM said in a press release. According to the PLDM, the Communist members of the polling station took hold of the mobile box and attempted to move with it across the village without other observers accompanying them. One of the PLDM observers tried to stop the car in which the mobile box was carried, but the driver neglected this attempt, as a result of which the PLDM observer suffered a serious fracture of the leg. The police initiated an investigation. However, PCRM spokesperson Sergei Sirbu dismissed the allegations as false. The PCRM members couldn't possibly travel alone with the mobile box without at least a police representative accompanying them, he argued.
