The head of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vlad Filat announced that the party remains part of the ruling alliance and will try to find a compromise solution to the political crisis, but the situation in the AEI is not simple, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to Vlad Filat, there must be reached a reasonable compromise, but this does not mean that the Communists should return to power. He said the PLDM will make effort to help identify a solution so that the President is elected on November 18. “We did not make progress. The PDM and PCRM are holding discussions. We will intensify the dialogue. We must fulfill the promises made to the voters and should not allow the group interests to influence us,” Vlad Filat said after a meeting of the PLDM’s active members in the evening of October 31. Vlad Filat also said the PLDM will take part in the meeting of the AEI Council that is to be convened on November 1 by the PDM, which holds the presidency in rotation. The hour and place of the meeting are yet to be made public.
