PLDM registers bill to amend Tax Code

A bill to amend Article 117 of the Tax Code was registered by the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) with the Parliament’s Standing Bureau on September 2. In a communique, the party says the bill is designed to eliminate the forms of fiscal inequity by correctly applying the general and unified entrepreneurship regulation principles, IPN reports.

In the current form, Article 117 of the Tax Code imposes in a different way the common condition of issuing or not issuing fiscal invoices when paying for products or services in cash on a number of categories of entrepreneurs. This runs counter to the general norm of the Law on Entrepreneurship and Enterprises.

The bill tabled by the PLDM removes the obligation to issue a fiscal invoice (except for cases when it is asked by the buyer) within the electronic trade, with payment in cash and/or by another method, and allows using the control mechanisms applied to economic entities for which the issuing of fiscal invoices is not mandatory.
