In less than half a year, the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) will convene its political congress, which will be the most representative one since the foundation of the party six years ago. In the public debate “Lessons learned and lessons to be learned. Overcoming and prevention of political crises: role of the political class and society - 1” that was staged by IPN News Agency on July 8, the party’s leader Vlad Filat said the congress will take place on December 8.
“It’s not a secret that the PLDM’s success is due to the people who took a decision and got involved. In time, we invited other professionals to engage in the government process already. By their work, we will produce surprises at the ordinary general elections,” said Vlad Filat.
He also said he regrets that he paid not enough attention to the party he heads while he was Prime Minister. Now he feels very well in the post of party leader as he can discuss openly with the people and can monitor the changes taking place.
“The people didn’t manage to see what good things were done in the period. The atmosphere created by our useless disputes and polemics shadowed our accomplishments. These lessons should be learned,” said the Liberal-Democratic leader.
The 19th public debate “Lessons learned and lessons to be learned. Overcoming and prevention of political crises: role of the political class and society - 1” of the series “Development of political culture by public debates” was organized with support from the German foundation “Hanns Siedel”.
