PLDM maintains position on negotiations

The Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova will not change its position on the negotiations, at least until after the meeting of its Political Council, the party’s deputy head Vadim Pistrinciuc said after the consultations held with President Nicolae Timofti, IPN reports.

“We informed the head of state that there is a desideratum proposed by us and by the whole society, as regards the freeing of the state institutions from any kind of control. We refer to all the institutions, including those that were managed by the ministries that were earlier distributed politically. We hope the future government will assume a commitment related to this objective,” stated Pistrinciuc.

He noted that the PLDM’s Political Council will convene again on December 1 because the situation changed, including because of the recent decision of the Constitutional Court. Discussions with the colleagues will be held after this meeting.

On November 27, President Nicolae Timofti also had consultations with the parliamentary groups of the Democratic Party and the Liberal Party. The Party of Communists and the Party of Socialists refused to take part in consultations.
