PLDM launches Political Academy for youth

Selected young people will study free of charge at the Police Academy within a program launched by the Liberal-Democratic youth of Moldova with support from Konrad Adenauer Foundation. According to a communiqué from the Liberal-Democratic Party (PLDM), the young people will address such issues as the people’s interest and participation in the political life, the voters’ trust in the political system and politicians. They will also develop their leadership, communication and organization skills and will learn details about the state institutions’ work. “This school aims to explore new horizons and new angles from which the realities of the political, social and economic life in Moldova can be analyzed. The most courageous ones will be able to come closer to the bustle of the power center where the lights in offices are never switched off,” said George Mocanu, the head of the PLDM youth organization. The first class of the Political Academy will attend the courses in the period between October 11 and December 4. At the end, the 40 young people selected will receive graduation certificates. The courses are free and will be moderated by politicians, trainers and experts in different fields.
