The parliamentary group of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) expects that everyone will show responsibility and will realize the importance of the moment, the faction’s leader Valeriu Strelet stated for Info-Prim Neo, referring to the censure motion against the Government that is to be debated in Parliament today, March 5. In the evening of March 4, the Liberal-Democratic faction held a meeting. After the meeting, Valeriu Strelet said the Lib-Dems will not vote for the motion and will decide how to act further depending on the motion’s fate. “Our faction’s behavior will be absolutely responsible and united,” said the politician. He also said that as far as he knows the party leaders had discussions on the political situation. Meetings in another format and at another level haven’t been held. The censure motion against the Government was signed by the 34 Communist lawmakers. The unaffiliated MPs – the four Socialists Igor Dodon, Zinaida Greceanyi, Veronica Abramchuk, and Ion Ceban, and Mihai Godea – announced that they will vote in favor of the Communists’ motion. Sergiu Sirbu said he decided how to vote, but will make it public in the Parliament’s sitting so as not to be subject to pressure. Anyway, the motion can be passed only with the help of the votes of the Democratic MPs.
