The deputy chairman of the Liberal-Democratic Party (PLDM) Vadim Pistrinciuc said the name of the candidate that the party will propose for Prime Minister may be announced on May 14, the negotiations with other parties on the constitution of a parliamentary majority and the formation of new Government will be held publicly, without secret discussions, and no talks will be carried out with the Liberal group headed by Mihai Ghimpu. On the other hand, the deputy chairman of the Liberal party (PL) Valeriu Munteanu said that the PLDM does not want to conducts real negotiations with the democratic parties because it reached special agreements with the PCRM and aims to cause early parliamentary elections. The statements were made in the program “In Depth” on ProTV channel, IPN reports.
Vadim Pistrinciuc said that there is not much confidence on the political arena of Moldova and the PLDM, in the future negotiations, will discuss the creation of a parliamentary majority and of the Government with democratic parties, but these talks will be different from the previous ones. “This time we will not accept secret discussions. Our position will be open ands public. I think that the name of the candidate for premiership will be made known on May 14,” he stated.
In the same connection, Pistrinciuc said everyone wants to control the legal sector, especially the National Anticorruption Center and the Prosecutor General’s Office. “When the negotiation process is launched, criminal cases start to be opened. MPs of the PDM and PL tell the Liberal-Democratic MPs openly that criminal cases will be started against them next week,” said Vadim Pistrinciuc.
Valeriu Munteanu said the current political crisis began after the PLDM withdrew from the agreement on the creation of the AEI, but the PL took part in the negotiations after this was done. “They will hold no talks as this is not in their interests. They reached agreements with the PCRM. You should tell the people that you want early elections. They surely do not want an alliance with Ghimpu’s PL because they came to an understanding with the PCRM,” he stated.
The Liberal MP also said that the PLDM does not intend to constitute a parliamentary majority and will field a candidate for Premier who will not gain the necessary number of votes.
