PLDM claims a number of its election posters have been destroyed

Four election posters of the Liberal Democratic Party of Moldova (PLDM) placed in Buiucani district of Chisinau have been vandalized on the night of March 18, the party says in a communiqué, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. According to the quoted source, two of the destroyed posters were located on Stefan cel Mare si Sfant Boulevard, while another two – on Ion Creanga and Alexei Mateevici streets. The PLDM leaders consider that the posters put on billboards that are 40 and 18 square meters in area could not be damaged without the involvement of the police. “The election posters of the PLDM have been repeatedly vandalized, but the police did not react and did not investigate the cases. This shows that the law enforcement bodies are engaged in the political process,” the communiqué says. The PLDM warns the state institutions that all the abuses and illegalities committed during the election campaign are documented and the persons to blame will be held accountable.
