Playing children start fire in Chisinau storehouse
Children playing with matches accidentally set fire to a storage facility in a Chisinau residential building on Alba Iulia Str.
Liliana Puscasu of the Fire & Rescue Dept. has told Info-Prim Neo that the blaze caused heavy damages to property and content. Fortunately, the fire was extinguished before it spread to nearby apartments.
A man from Iurceni village, Nisporeni district, set a room he was renting ablaze after trying to light the heating stove with a significant amount of gasoline. The abundantly fuelled flames broke out of the stove and scared the man, who chose to run away. A Nisporeni crew managed to put out the blaze quickly, bun not before it heavily damaged the room and contents.
Over the past 24 hours, 4 fires occurred in Moldova, killing one and injuring another. From the beginning of the year, there were registered 596 fires that claimed 83 lives, and damaged 96 buildings and 35 vehicles.
