Information on projects funded by the European Union in Moldovan settlements can be accessed on the EU4Moldova.md platform, launched today, October 15. Additionally, a map with the graphical representation of the European Union assistance projects can be accessed. The platform holds project information regarding areas of intervention, the results and beneficiaries, video images, as well as the budget of the interventions.

Ambassador Peter Michalko, head of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Moldova, said that there are more than a thousand projects that have already been completed in Moldova. The purpose is to support the population so that they can achieve their dreams related to work and education. Eu funded projects supported small and medium-sized enterprises and created more than 15 thousand jobs. Additionally, non-governmental organizations were supported, while opportunities for young people were created, including student exchange programs.

"We want to see that European standards are a reality for every citizen of the Republic of Moldova. When we talk about future European projects, we want to hear from those who have benefited from these projects that they are living this reality”, said the ambassador.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, said that European support projects carried out in Moldova aim to build Europe in Moldova, even if this means that over ten years Moldova has to turn from a beneficiary to an assistance donor. "It is important for the good functioning of the state and of society to benefit from this assistance, however, we should ask ourselves how can we contribute to some of the European Union priorities", said the minister.

During the event, the functionalities of the web platform were presented and the participants were able to find out from several EU funded project beneficiaries about the tangible results of the offered assistance.
