Members and supporters of the Civic Platform “Dignity and Truth” will picket the Ministry of Transport and Road Infrastructure on September 30, at 2pm. These will demand that the Ministry should not hinder the people from all the corners of Moldova to come to the protests staged in the center of Chisinau, IPN reports.

Vasile Nastase, one of the leaders of the Platform, told a news conference held in the Great National Assembly Square that the protest at the Ministry of Transport is mounted because this institution made everything possible to prevent the people from coming to the previous protests organized by the Platform. “They threatened minibus and bus drivers that these would remain without a license if they took people to Chisinau,” he said.

Vasile Nastase also said that in the September 30 meeting of the Great National Assembly Council, they discussed the preparations for the October 4 large-scale protest. “It was decided to make a call to the heads of the law enforcement and regulatory institutions and to the prosecutor general and the head of the Anticorruption Center by which to ask them to tender their resignation so that the situation becomes less tense before the great event,” he stated.

Representatives of the Platform said than until the October 4 event, they will continue to travel to the country’s districts to meet with the people there. This time they will visit the districts of Soldanesti, Ialoveni, Cantemir, Floresti, and Rezina.
