Mayor General of Chisinau Dorin Chirtoaca expressed his amazement at a private television channel's announcement that he traveled to Bucharest by plane last week. At Monday's meeting of the Chisinau services and divisions, Chirtoaca said he wanted to talk to the crew of this channel, but that crew left the assembly hall several minutes earlier, Info-Prim Neo reports. Dorin Chirtoaca stressed that the 'plane' is called Opel-Astra, registration series CJC. It was his car made in 1993, which stays in the Chisinau City Hall's yard. The mayor went to Bucharest by his car on December 3 in the evening to participate in the final debate for the presidential elections at the Palace of the Parliament. He was near the sympathizers of candidate Traian Basescu. Dorin Chirtoaca returned to Chisinau the next night.
