A military bomb disposal unit demined a plane bomb weighing 50 kg that was discovered in a yard in Ialoveni town. The Soviet-made bomb dated back to World War II, IPN reports.

According to the Ministry of Defense, the bomb was transported to a quarry located nearby and destroyed in conditions of maximum security. This year, the National Army’s bomb squad has liquidated over 1,700 explosive devices in different settlements of the country.
