The first deputy chairman of the Democratic Party (PDM) Vlad Plahotniuc had a meeting with the leader of the Liberal Party (PL) Mihai Ghimpu at the Liberals’ head office in the afternoon of February 6. The discussion between the two politicians lasted for about an hour and the media didn’t have access to it. The information was confirmed for IPN by sources in the PL.
Several hours earlier, Liberal MP Valeriu Munteanu has told IPN that they received yet no invitation to discussions, either from the Lib-Dems or from the Democrats.
After the February 4 meeting of the candidate for premiership Iurie Leanca with the Liberal parliamentary group, Mihai Ghimpu said they do not have what to discuss with the candidate because this won’t be a Leanca Government, but a PLDM-PDM Government. That’s why discussions should be held with the leaders of the two parties.
