PL to PLDM: We should use existing communication ways and not look for new ones
“We should not look for other communication ways rather than the Parliament’s Standing Bureau and the meetings of the ruling alliance,” the Liberal lawmakers said in response to their Liberal-Democratic colleagues’ call to pass more bills in second reading.
“I’m obliged to remind my colleagues from the Alliance for European Integration that there are two mechanisms for taking decisions, set out in the agreement to constitute the alliance that was signed last December. All the decisions are taken by consensus. The Parliament’s Standing Bureau agrees the order of business. All these problems are dealt with in the meetings of the AEI that precede the meetings of the Standing Bureau,” the head of the Liberal parliamentary group Ion Hadarca stated for Info-Prim Neo. “We should use the existing communication ways and not look for new ones as this casts shadow on the good intentions,” added the MP.
Asked to comment on the opinion of the leader of the Liberal-Democratic group Valeriu Strelet, who said that the other two parties of the AEI do not consider the bill to lift the immunity of the MPs a priority, Ion Hadarca said that as far as he knows the PLDM had other priorities. “Last week they had only one priority – to work out the regulations concerning entering of the Parliament through the front door. I don’t know what happens. Maybe the priorities changed,” he stated.
On July 11, the Liberal-Democratic group called on the Democratic and Liberal lawmakers to vote in favor of a number of bills proposed by the Liberal-Democrats, in second reading, until the MPs’ vacation. The bills concern the integrity of civil servants and the declaration of incomes by them, liquidation of specialized courts, combating of corruption and other issues
