PL seeks harsher penalty for Grigore Petrenco
The Liberal Party’s faction will request Parliament to impose the harshest penalties stipulated by the Parliament’s Regulation on Communist MP Grigore Petrenco. According to a press release of the Liberals, the PL faction will demand Grigore Petrenco’s exclusion from the permanent delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe. “If PCRM doesn’t give up sabotaging the Parliament’s works, the Liberal Party will request the suspension of all PCRM representatives from participation in Parliament’s fall session. PL considers that the Prosecutor General’s Office should take action against MP Grigore Petrenco and his accomplices”, reads the release.
On July 5, Anatol Salaru was summoned in Parliament for hearings about the damaged railway section between Cahul and Giurgiulesti, where traffic has been closed for safety reasons. During the hearings, the Communist accused the Minister of corruption and Anatol Salaru branded them likewise.
