The parliamentary group of the Liberal Party asks calling a special sitting of the legislative body on April 7, which will be dedicated to the April 2009 events. Lawmaker Corina Fusu, in the name of the Liberal faction, requested inviting the prosecutor general, the head of the Information and Security Service (SIS) and the Minister of the Interior for questioning in Parliament, Info-Prim Neo reports. “Two years is a very long period. The causes and consequences of the events that followed the elections of April 5, 2009 have not been yet determined,” said the MP. The parliamentary group asks the Prosecutor General’s Office and the SIS to present in Parliament a report on the results of the investigations of the April 2009 events, while the Ministry of the Interior to make public the collected materials about the police officers involved in those events. “We expect data not new reports. We want those who are to blame for the tragic events to be punished,” said Corina Fusu.
