PL lawmaker seeks to limit compensations for heads of state enterprises
Liberal MP Valeriu Munteanu put forward a legislative initiative that limits the compensations for heads of state enterprises to a maximum of three average monthly wages, Info-Prim Neo reports.
Valeriu Munteanu says that the proposal is meant to prevent abuses from state-owned enterprise leaders. He exemplified a ‘legal abuse’: the contract signed with the general director of SA Tutun-CTC, a company in which the state owns 90%, entitles the director to a compensation of 5 million lei if he is fired.
In Moldova, there are about 1500 state and municipal enterprises, besides many other companies in which the state is an important shareholder.
