The Liberal Party (PL) is for keeping the Alliance for European Integration (AEI) and its name, the party's president Mihai Ghimpu told the reporters on Tuesday, quoted by Info-Prim Neo. Mihai Ghimpu said the Liberal Party, as no other member party of the coalition, promoted the pro-Alliance message throughout the election campaign and maintains this position. Moreover, said Ghimpu, the PL is for keeping the name of the Alliance. “This would be an advantage for the Alliance, for Moldova and for everyone... The people know this name. The AEI has launched a number of projects and signed international agreements. We should continue the reforms we initiated,” Mihai Ghimpu said. Asked if the Liberal Party will invite his Alliance colleagues to dialogue, Mihai Ghimpu said this is the prerogative of the PLDM. The rule is that the party that has the largest number of seats of MP makes the cooperation offer. The PL is waiting, Ghimpu said.
