The High School Students Organization of the Liberal Party (PL) launched a contest of poetry, essays and drawings for children. The event is part of the International Children’s Day marked on June 1, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to a communiqué from the PL, the contest is open to children aged between 5 and 15. The contest themes are: “We are Europe’s Children” and “Childhood is a Nice Period”. The contest has two sections: “Literary Work” that includes poems and essays and “Drawing”. The works will be assessed and awarded according to the 5-10 and 11-15 age brackets. The first prize will be 250 lei, the second prize – 150 lei, while the third prize – 100 lei (2 prizes). There will be also awarded distinctions. Those interested are asked to write the name, surname, age and a phone number on their works and submit them to the PL head office in Chisinau located at 13 Vlaicu Parcalab Street or to the email address liberal@pl.md by May 29, 2009.
