PL does not hold talks with a party that does not respect human rights, Dorin Chirtoaca
"We cannot negotiate with a party that does not respect the people’s right to elect and that commits crimes,” said the vice president of the Liberal Party (PL) Dorin Chirtoaca, referring to the Communist Party (PCRM).
“The early elections are a solution for Moldova to return to democracy. There is no stability when the law is not observed. We will be able to discuss other things with the major parliamentary group only when the people’s right to a representative and legal Parliament is respected,” Chirtoaca stated for Info-Prim Neo on Monday.
After a plenary meeting of the Central Committee of the Communist Party last weekend, which considered solutions for electing the head of state, the first deputy speaker of Parliament Vladimir Turcan said that they will carry out talks with representatives of the parliamentary groups, not only with their leaders.
The PL will express its official position on this subject after a meeting of the party’s Standing Bureau on Monday.
