PL advise PCRM to transform headquarters on Armeneasca Street into a center for pensioners and disabled persons
The Liberal Party candidates for the Municipal Council advised the Communists to transform their headquarters on Armeneasca Street into a center for pensioners and disabled people, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the Liberals, the land for the building was given away illegally and since 2010 the building is sequestered.
The PL candidates met on Tuesday, May 24, outside the Center District Court, where the trial about PCRM’s HQ was to be ruled. However, the hearing was delayed as the judge allegedly fell ill.
“The decision of allotting this area to the Party of Communists was adopted by the Municipal Council in 2006, with serious infringements. A playground for children was demolished. The headquarters was built from expensive materials and cost about €10-15 million”, said Oleg Cernei, second on the PL candidates list for local elections on June 5.
According to Cernei, if PCRM don’t transform their headquarters into a center for pensioners and disabled persons, they will show their “true nature: manipulation and lies.”
The building on Armeneasca Street, 43/1, occupies 1300 square meters, has a mini-hotel, tens of bureaus and an underground parking. Oleg Cernei says PCRM “stole” 4 more ares from the neighboring land of the Register Chamber.
According to the Liberals, PCRM has at least two other party buildings in Chisinau as well.
