Pistols for sale in Chisinau
The police caught a young man from the municipality of Chisinau in the act of selling a Makarov pistol for 1,500 lei, Info-Prim Neo reports.
According to the Ministry of the Interior's press service, the police found out about the man's intention to sell the gun from an informer. Posing as a buyer, an officer of the Botanica police department went to the intersection of Muncesti and Burebista streets, where the man planned to sell his pistol. The seller was caught red-handed. He told the police he found the gun on a Chisinau street a month ago.
The culprit is liable to a fine of up to 12,000 lei, 180 to 240 hours of community service or up to five years in jail.
