Pipe engineer crushed between two trucks
A 60-year-old pipe engineer was crushed on Monday between two trucks at a Chisinau building site, but survived.
A spokesperson for the Emergency Hospital told Info-Prim Neo that the man suffered injuries of the left clavicle and shoulder blade and the contusion of the thorax.
A 30-year-old man, worker for the Chisinau-based paint manufacturer Supraten, slipped from a roof of a depot and fell about 2 meters. Suffering brain concussion and spinal contusion, the man was admitted to the Emergency Hospital.
Another man, 70, was struck by a car at the juncture of the streets Alexandru cel Bun and Vasile Alecsandri, being diagnosed with contusion of the soft tissues of the left knee. The same diagnosis was established in a 12-year-old boy, struck by an Opel in the intersection of the streets Grenoble and Asachi. Both pedestrians refused to be hospitalized.
On Monday and Tuesday early morning, the Chisinau Emergency Service responded to 745 calls, including 67 cases of trauma, 55 cases of acute viroses, 2 heart attacks and 6 brain strokes.
